Based on a recent survey by the National Retail Federation, close to 14% of shoppers will opt to purchase electronics as Mother’s Day gifts. About $20.7 billion is expected to be spent this year on electronics for mom as compared to $747 million back in 2007. Electronics also go as far as to include cameras that are well over $300. All this splurging may be pointless, ast 75% of mothers interviewed are just looking for some flowers and a nice day to eat lunch out.
