As part of Google X, the research laboratory dedicated to technological innovation, Google has released details about Project Glass. Google has developed a prototype of augmented reality glasses that allow the wearer to send and receive messages through voice commands. The glasses also stream information across the lenses, and feature a built-in camera for recording and picture taking. In an introductory post on Google+, the project is described as technology that "helps you explore and share your world, putting you back in the moment."
