Online shopping is taking a big step forward, with Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos seeking to speed up the shopping process via the usage of drones, as he revealed on last week on "60 Minutes." Dubbing them “Octocopter” drones, Bezos said the plan, called Amazon “Prime Air,” requires additional safety testing as well as the passing of FAA approvals. Although the goal is to begin the service as soon as four or five years from now. Having been described as giant, flying tarantulas by “60 Minutes” producer Draggan Mihailovich, these drones might just revolutionize the whole concept of online shopping, and make them a whole lot more convenient than leaving the house to do “real-life” shopping.
